Cong to stage dharna against SJVN on Aug 24

Hamirpur (HP): Congress party has decided to hold a dharna cum demonstration against the state-owned SJVN for ignoring the rights of the local people and giving jobs to outsiders in the Dhaulasidh power project on August 24.
Abhishek Rana, social media in-charge cum spokesman of the Congress party said Sunday the Congress party was continuously raising this issue. SJVN and Ritwik Company have not yet provided 100% employment to the local people in the Dhaulasidh project as per the contract.
He said despite a letter by the district administration, the labor department had taken no action against the defaulters and the outsiders were still being hired for the project instead of the locals.
Rana said the Congress party had decided to come out on the road against this injustice on August 24 outside the SJVN office along with the local people to help them get their due rights. (UNI)
