EU’s relations with Ukraine don’t pose threat to Russia: Lavrov
Moldova wants to be European, in fact more than Europeans themselves: Kremlin
Baku: The European Union’s relations with other countries do not pose a threat to Russia as it is not a military alliance, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Friday when asked about Ukraine and Moldova becoming EU candidate states.
“Our position has always proceeded from the fact that the European Union is not a military-political bloc, therefore, unlike the NATO, the development of its relations with any countries that wish to join it does not create any threats and risks for us,” Lavrov told a press conference in Baku.
