Zee5 launches Taj Season 2 on its platform, gets excellent reviews

Mumbai: Mughal prince Salim’s epic love story is the most popular chapter in Mughal history. Salim’s disobedience to emperor Akbar’s dictates for abandoning his beloved Anarkali has been depicted by several Bollywood producers and has run for months and years in theatres across Asia.

Zee5, the numero uno entertainment platform has released the story again named, Taj, Reign of Revenge serial with veteran actors Naseeruddin Shah, Dharmendra and Aditi Rao supported by new talents in Abhimanyu Singh, Roopali Kadyan and others.

The serial Part 1 was released on Zee5 earlier in March and had impressive viewer response. The Part 2 with 10 episodes was put up on small screen on Friday and hopes to revive the family revenge story of Mughal empire. Young Roopali Kadyan playing Anarkali in the serial, has impressed reviewers by her dialogue delivery and classical Darbar dresses.

The lead actor Naseeruddin Shah plays the emperor Akbar with aplomb despite his age and weak frail body short of Prithviraj Kapoor stature in K Asif’s Mughal-e-Azam released in 1960.

Although Revenge by Salim (Jehangir) on his father emperor Akbar was taken after he rode to throne, the coming episodes will be awaited by telly-viewers with enthusiasm.
