‘Youth for Nation’, NGO conducts lectures and awareness camps in Mandi, Rawalsar in Himachal
Mandi: An energetic, inspiring and nationalistic NGO, ‘Youth For Nation’ (called Y4N) launched by armed forces veterans recently conducted
awareness and motivation camps in rural areas of Himachal Pradesh. Youth camps were addressed by Lt. Col. TPS Rana and other veterans in Pandoh, Rawalsar and Kala Amb areas of the state and were attended by NCC cadets from schools, colleges of the region in large numbers. Youth were educated on
Agniveer scheme of recruitment of Indian Defence forces, Nasha Mukti Abhiyan and Kaushal Vikash Scheme, briefing them on various job opportunities available for them.
Highlighting the ideals of Indian national pride as propounded by Swami Vivekananda and other great Visionaries of Bharat, the NGO launched in 2021 has been organising youth camps in various universities and colleges across India, and has 22 chapters which cover all State/UTs of India and major career training centers. Initiated by a team of veterans Prof. DS Chauhan, Prof. GS Murty, Lt. Gen. VK Chaturvedi, PVSM, AVSM, SM, Vice Adm. Raman Puri, PVSM, AVSM and Commander VK Jaitly , Prof. Virendra Kumar, (all Retd.) and entrepreneur Arvind Tripathi, with a motto of inculcating nationalistic spirit, Atmanirbhar Bharat, career advice and awareness about positive aspects of Indian history, among Indian youth.
Youth4Nation is the brainchild of late Lt. Gen. NS Malik (Retd.) and Brig. Raj Bahadur Sharma (Retd.), and other veterans of Indian forces.
The NGO has previously organised seminars at various university campuses in Delhi, Haryana, Kharagpur, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Guwahati, Kolkata and Hoshiarpur, Hamirpur in Himachal Pradesh. Most of these places have active chapters of the organisation led by college professors, retired and decorated veterans devoted to Swami Vivekananda’s ideals on revival of ancient culture of Bharat and ‘Vasudheva Kutumbkam’ to assuage the global sufferings and strife.
