Yogi: Complete Vindhya Corridor in six months

Mirzapur (UP): Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday inspected the ongoing construction work of the Vindhya Corridor after offering prayers to Maa Vindhyavasini in Mirzapur, here in Uttar Pradesh.
The Chief Minister directed the officers to complete the work of the corridor in six months. The CM’s chopper landed at Mirzapur Police Lines where he was welcomed by Union Minister of State for Industries and Commerce and Mirzapur MP Anupriya Patel.
Ahead of Shardiya Navratri starting from Monday, the CM conducted an on-site inspection of Vindhyachal Temple and Vindhya Corridor under construction. During the inspection of the under construction grand Vindhya Corridor project, Divisional Commissioner Yogeshwar Ram Mishra and District Magistrate Divya Mittal informed the CM about the progress.
He went through the Vindhya Corridor model and gave the construction project manager instructions to finish everything as per the schedule with quality. In view of Shardiya Navratri, the CM has given many instructions to the officials regarding the security and convenience of the pilgrims travelling to Vindhyachal temple from all across the nation.
Yogi presided over a review meeting with the officers and inquired about the status of the Vindhya Corridor and the Navratri Mela preparations. He gave instructions to expedite the construction work in a time-bound manner and complete it within the next six months in any case.
He directed to divide the work into three shifts while hiring more workers and artisans. He requested the district administration to review the progress and obtain the progress report while keeping timeline and quality in mind.
The CM also suggested setting up workshops for carving stones used in construction work. He advised the officers to better make the fundamental amenities available to the devotees in light of the Navratri Mela.
Vindhya Corridor, modelled after Kashi Vishwanath Dham, is being developed around Vindhyavasini temple with an estimated cost of Rs 224 crore in an effort to boost pilgrimage travel. Vindhya Corridor is being developed by using pink stones of Ahraura that have been expertly crafted by artisans of Jaipur. This year will mark the official opening of the corridor. (UNI)
