Indore : In a sensational twist to the ongoing Sonam Raghuvanshi case, Meghalaya Police have reportedly found two mangalsutras from the victim’s personal belongings, sparking speculation about her marital status and raising further questions in the investigation. The discovery was made while police were combing through her luggage for possible clues related to her death. The presence of two distinct mangalsutras, traditionally worn by married Hindu women, has led investigators to examine whether Sonam was secretly married, possibly more than once, or if the chains belonged to someone else entirely.

While the police have not yet made an official statement regarding the significance of the jewelry, sources within the investigation say that they are treating this lead seriously. “The two mangalsutras could be key to unlocking details about her personal life, relationships, and what led to her tragic end,” a senior officer said on condition of anonymity. Sonam Raghuvanshi, a young woman originally from Uttar Pradesh, was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Shillong earlier this month. Her case has attracted national attention due to its unusual elements and the multiple angles being probed  from suicide and mental health to foul play and hidden relationships.

Forensic teams are now examining the jewelry to determine if any DNA traces or other identifiers can be linked to potential suspects or relatives. Meanwhile, the police have also questioned her family and close friends to gather more information about her past relationships and possible marriage.

What adds to the complexity is the lack of any publicly known records or mentions of her being married. No official marriage certificate has surfaced, and her family has not confirmed any such union. This new development has added a layer of mystery to the case, prompting authorities to consider the possibility of an undisclosed marriage, or even a connection to someone else’s marital conflict.
