War 2 Box Office Day 2: Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR’s Spy
Thriller Crosses ₹100 Crore Mark....
Mumbai: Ayan Mukerji’s much-anticipated spy action thriller War 2 has witnessed a strong turnaround at the box office on its second day. Starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR in lead roles, the film benefited significantly from the Independence Day holiday.
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, War 2 earned an estimated ₹56.5 crore (India net) on Day 2, showing nearly a 10% growth from its opening day collection of ₹51.5 crore. This takes the total two-day domestic collection to ₹108 crore across all languages.
On Day 1, the split was ₹29 crore from Hindi, ₹22.25 crore from Telugu, and ₹0.25 crore from Tamil. Day 2 saw the Hindi version contributing around ₹40 crore with an overall occupancy rate of 51.52%. Morning shows opened at 27% occupancy, which grew to nearly 64% in the evening. Chennai led the regional charts with a staggering 94.75% occupancy, followed by Hyderabad (80%) and Lucknow (73.75%). The Telugu market, boosted by Jr NTR’s massive fan following, recorded an overall 68.99% occupancy, while Tamil screenings achieved 54.85%.
With these numbers, War 2 has surpassed the two-day collections of its predecessor War (₹77.77 crore) and Salman Khan’s Tiger 3 (₹103.75 crore). However, it still trails behind Jr NTR’s previous release Devara Part One, which earned ₹120.7 crore within two days.
The film also features Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor, and a cameo by Bobby Deol. As the sixth installment in YRF’s ambitious Spy Universe, War 2 is shaping up to be one of the biggest blockbusters of 2025.
