Vinay Kumar Saxena to be Delhi’s new LG

New Delhi: Chairman of Khadi & Village Industries Corpn. Mr. Vinay Kumar Saxena has been nominated as Lt. Governor (LG) of Delhi replacing incumbent LG Anil Baijal, who had resigned on May 18, following superannuation in December 2021. He had been Delhi’s constitutional head since 2016 and had completed his term in late 2021.  As Delhi is not a full state of the Union of India, there have been running controversies between Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and the LG Baijal on several issues.

President of India has appointed the new LG for Delhi late Monday evening.  Vinay Kumar Saxena will take over as the 22nd LT. Governor of Delhi soon.
