US President Biden and PM Modi to have a virtual talk today
New Delhi/Washington, April 11: Political circles are ripe with indications of unscheduled virtual discussions between top leaders of two important democracies of the world. American President Joe Biden is likely to make a call to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and have discussions on world affairs virtually.
Though Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is also in the US along with Foreign Minister S Jaishankar for a @2+2 Dialogue this evening, with their US counterparts, the significance of Biden-Modi virtual meeting has heightened the political decibel in the two capitals.
As the war between Russia and Ukraine is entering 46th day today, there have been very hectic parleys between PM Modi and a galaxy of world leaders, who visited India during the last month or called upon Indian Prime Minister to follow their political line on this hot potato. There were some unwanted harsh talks by US officials visiting New Delhi, India has ignored such provocations.
It appears now, the US President is going to use push and pull technique on the issue and would like to get India follow American and NATO line against Russia.
