US Independence Day: Our best days lie ahead, asserts Joe Biden

Washington: President Joe Biden on Monday extended his greetings to all on the occasion of US’ Independence Day.
Taking to Twitter, Biden said, “The Fourth of July is a sacred day in our country – it’s a time to celebrate the goodness of our nation, the only nation on Earth founded based on an idea: that all people are created equal. Make no mistake, our best days still lie ahead.”
Vice President said, “This Fourth of July, as we celebrate the liberty our brave service members fought and died for, let us fight to ensure every American can enjoy the freedoms promised in the Declaration of Independence and the rights secured by the generations who came before us.”
According to CNN, the July 4 holiday comes amid a challenging time for the nation marked by deepening division, inflation and a recent set of polling showing that the vast majority of Americans across party lines are unhappy with the state of the US.
The President will likely deliver remarks commemorating the holiday at a celebration with military families on the South Lawn of the White House. (UNI)
