UP Minister Swami Maurya resigns ministry, not BJP yet
Dy. CM Keshav Prasad placates him, saying, "Hasty calls often prove wrong"
Lucknow, Jan 11 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya reacting on the resignation of his cabinet colleague Swami Prasad Maurya on Tuesday appealed for reconsideration.
Keshav Maurya, who is in Delhi to attend a BJP meeting related to the upcoming state poll, tweeted: “Respected Swami Prasad Maurya ji, for what reasons you have resigned, I do not know.
“But I appeal to you to sit and talk as such hasty decisions often prove to be wrong.”
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and state party president Swantra Deo Singh are also in Delhi to attend the meeting to select candidates for the assembly polls that will begin on February 10.
Uttar Pradesh will see a seven-phase poll ending in first week of March.
