Shiv Mahakal corridor of Ujjain, decks up for grand opening tomorrow
The corridor has Mahakal's 190 statues in marble, spread over 47 hectares across Rudrasagar
Ujjain (MP): Preparations are in the final stage at this holy city vis-à-vis Shri Mahakal Lok, which is to be dedicated to the people by none other than Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday.
In the words of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, “Ujjayani is replete with extraordinary splendor as a direct consequence of ceaseless spiritual practice, unalloyed dedication, limitless patience, cast-iron determination, boundless energy and indomitable spirit.”
Tourists and devotees will be able to offer worship at Shri Mahakal Lok from Friday, it was officially learnt.
Mahakal Lok corridor embodies over 190 idols of Shiva Mahakal and Rishis, spread over 47 hectares at an expenditure of 315 crore to be completed in 2 phases. Phase I is complete and waiting for inauguration by PM Narendra Modi tomorrow. (UNI)
