Udyam Sarathi: A key for the youth to find self-employment
Lucknow: The Udyam Sarathi app, prepared by Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Department has become a master-key for the youths who are out to explore start-up opportunities.
Additional Chief Secretary MSME Navneet Sehgal said on Tuesday that on an average of 110 people are downloading the app while about 700-800 visit the app on a daily basis. It may be noted that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a single window system ‘Udyam Sarathi’ app on January 24 last year to link the youth with self-employment.
He said that in one and a half years more than 60,000 people have downloaded the app. “Once installed, the app provides all kinds of information related to industries. Through the Udyam Sarathi app, youths are easily getting a diverse range of business opportunities in different departments and sectors, which include the state and central governments, anywhere and at any time,” he said.
Sehgal said that in the second phase, the MSME department is soon going to start a call centre with a seating capacity of 30 people for two- way communication. “The call centre executives will be available for assistance from 9 am to 7 pm on every working day,” he said.
He said, “Udyam Sarathi App is the solution to every problem related to industries. The platform will play a key role in fulfilling the resolve of providing employment opportunities to one member of every family in the state.”
Sehgal said that audio-visual lectures are also available on the app to encourage and help people to become self-employed. “The app also provides opinions of experts as well as details of the entire process of loan availability for youth to start self-employment,” he said.
The app also has a collection of industry-related documentaries and success stories, which inspire youth to become entrepreneurs. Also, over 100 model project reports are available on this app.
In addition to this, the app has details of market availability, information regarding business models, and strategies for development. The app has all the information related to Digital Marketing, Income Tax related processes and GST among others.
Expert comments on import and export-related topics are also available on the app along with all the schemes run by the state government including the Financial Institutions screening. The government’s main objective is to make Uttar Pradesh the most developed state with the highest employment rate which will further push the state to become the biggest industrial hub in the country.
