Tri-service Ex Service Men pay homage to Kargil War heroes at Badami Bag, Srinagar
Srinagar: The Tri-services, retired servicemen laid wreath and offered floral tributes to the soldiers of Kargil War at Chinar War memorial at Badami Bagh in Srinagar.
The Ex-SM delegation headed by Lt General VK Chaturvedi (Retd) paid their obeisance to the fallen brethren by laying wreath and offering floral tributes, a defense spokesman said.
To commemorate the bravery and valour of Indian Armed Forces during OP VIJAY, “Kargil Vijay Diwas” is organized on July 26 every year and as a run up to the momentous day, a Tri – services Ex-SM tour has been organized by the Indian Army.
The group comprising 45 ExSM of all ranks are from all across India and will be visiting Srinagar, Kargil and Drass from July 3 to July 9, 2022. The group commenced their glorious tour from Udhampur, Headquarter Northern Command on June 7, 2022.
In the Srinagar leg of the tour, the ExSM visited Chinar War Memorial paid their obeisance to the fallen brethren by laying wreaths and offering floral tributes at the War Memorial.
While sharing their experiences, they exuded pride and trust among serving soldiers who are keeping the Indian Flag flying high, the spokesman said. (UNI)
