Transport services in HP crippled due to strike

Shimla, May 3(UNI) After failure of govt to not pursue the private buses and Transport operators all passengers and good transport services remained cripple in the state.
As many as 3500 private bus routes affected the movement of commuters on the state wide call of indefinite strike in the state however state government promised to to address the demand of transporters did not resolved the deadlock.
The Private Bus Operators Association had called for a strike from May 3 and submitted a notice to the Regional Transport Officer (RTO) with regards to their demands.
Various transport Associations are demanding to exemption from transport taxes since the coronavirus outbreak.
” They would not run buses on various routes of the district from May 3.” State Pvt Buses Association president Ramesh Komal said that they would not resume services since their demands are not met.
Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HTRC) deployed additional bus service to assist the affected commuter.
Govt has urged the private bus operators to postpone the strike in view of the difficulties being faced by people.
