Toll Rates Increased on Faridabad-Agra Route from April 1
NHAI Revises Charges; Check New Toll Rates…….
Punjab / Haryana : Starting April 1, traveling from Faridabad to Agra will become more expensive as the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has revised toll rates on this route. The increased toll charges will impact daily commuters, transporters, and local residents who frequently use the highway. The new rates apply to key toll plazas, including Gadpuri and Hodal, affecting both commercial and personal vehicles.
As per the updated tariff, the monthly pass for local commuters near Gadpuri Toll Plaza will now cost ₹350 instead of ₹340. This hike will affect people residing within a 20-kilometer radius of the toll booths. Additionally, for those frequently commuting between Gadpuri and Hodal, the revised toll fee will see an increase of ₹35 per round trip. The rise in toll rates is expected to add to the financial burden of regular travelers and logistics companies operating along this route.
NHAI officials have stated that the toll price revision is a routine adjustment based on inflation and road maintenance costs. The revenue generated from the increased charges will be utilized for road repairs, widening projects, and infrastructure improvements to ensure a smoother travel experience. However, commuters have expressed dissatisfaction over the hike, arguing that the existing road conditions do not justify the increased toll fees.
Transport unions and daily commuters are calling for better road conditions and additional facilities in return for the rising costs. Some drivers have also raised concerns about the affordability of daily travel for those who rely on this route for work and business.
With the new toll rates in effect, travelers are advised to check the revised tariff before planning their journeys. Authorities have urged commuters to opt for electronic toll payment systems like FASTag to ensure hassle-free transactions and avoid long queues at toll plazas.
