Born…. 1932 – V.S. Naipaul, Trinidad (West Indies) born PIO and British novelist, fiction writer who highlighted the plight of citizens in developing countries. He wrote A House of Mr. Biswas, A Bend in the River, Middle Passage, In A Free State, An Enigma of Arrival etc.He was awarded Knighthood by the British and Nobel Prize in 2001.
1934 – Murasoli Maran, Tamil Nadu politician, film producer, nephew of DMK founder M Karunanidhi. He was Minister in UPA Govt. and MP for 3 terms.
1937 – Bhim Singh. Jammu & Kashmir Panthers Party founder and prominent, lawyer, politician. He also co-founded Justice PN Bhagwati Legal Aid Committee in 1982.
1943 – Robert De Niro, famous American actor, director and producer. He acted in The Godfather Part II, Taxi driver, Raging Bull, Meet The Parents etc. and won 2 Academy awards. His net worth is $ 500 million. 1960 – Sean Penn, a famous American actor, director known for Milk, 21 Gram, Dog Town and Z-Boys, Mystic River and Dead Man Walking. He won 2 Academy awards.
2004 – Brooklyn Frost is an African-American Instagram star having 1 million followers and 1.1 million on YouTube.
RIP….1909 – Madanlal Dhingra, famous revolutionary, who was studying University College London and joined Freddom Fighter. He assassinated Sir William Hutt Curzon Wyllie, the political aide-de-camp to the Secretary of State for India, in London oin 1909. He was hanged at Paintanville Jail for assassinating Wyle and Lal Kaka.
