2015 – Thirty students at West Point Military Academy are injured in a mass pillow fight.
2020 – Russian opposition figure Alexei Navalny, political activist, falls into a coma after a suspected poisoning (later confirmed to be Novichok poisoning). He ultimately died on Feb. 16, 2024.
Born…. 1944 – Rajiv Gandhi, elder son of former PM Indira Gandhi was initially an Airlines pilot but entered politics after the death of his younger son Sanjay Gandhi. Became Prime Minister of India after Indira’s assassination in 1984. He is credited with some innovative and clean politics, Computerisation inn India. But did some wrong decesions like Shah Bano case, sending IPKF to Sri Lanka to control LTTE revolts. He was also assassinated in May 1991. His son Rahul and daughter Priyanka Vadra are now prominent leaders of Congress Party and INDI Gathba

1974 – Amy Adams. Italy born American actress known for comic and dramatic roles. She was one of the highest paid actresses for 3 years in a row. She won 2 Golden Globe, 6 nominations to Academy, 7 times to British Academy Film awards, two Primetime Emmy awards.
1976 – Randeep Hooda, Haryana, versatile Bollywood actor and model. He debuted with Monsoon Wedding and followed up with Once Upon A Time, Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster, Mein Aur Charles, Jannat, Jism 2, Cocktail, Rang Rasiya, Heroine, Highway, Do Lafzon Ki Kahani, Jaat, Battle of Saragarhi, Swatantra Veer Savarkar etc.
