TN to resume physical classes for Classes 1-8 from Nov 1
Chennai, Sep 28 (UNI) Taking into account the recommendations made by medical and educational experts, the Tamil Nadu government tonight announced that classes for Classes one to eight will resume from November one after a gap of nearly 36 months in view of the COVID induced lockdown.
In a statement after reviewing the present situation, Chief Minister M K Stalin said physical classes for students from class 1 to 8 would resume in schools from November one.
However, the ban on of social, political, cultural and religious congregations on weekdays–from
Friday to Sunday–would continue to remain in place in a bid to prevent the possible outbreak of
the third wave of the pandemic.
Announcing some relaxations , Mr Stalin said public grievances meetings at district collectorates,
on every Monday would be allowed apart from meeting to redress the grievances of the farmers.
