Taliban govt warns PIA, Kam Air over hiking flight prices

Kabul, Oct 14 (UNI) Afghanistan’s Civil Aviation Authority has said that Pakistan’s PIA and Afghanistan’s Kam Air will be banned from conducting flights from Kabul to Islamabad if they do not charge the same price as they did prior to the establishment of the Taliban government.
According to Afghan media the announcement issued on Thursday stated, that the flights of these two airlines will be stopped on this route if they fail to comply.
The Civil Aviation Authority has warned Pakistan’s PIA and Afghan airline Kam Air to adjust ticket prices for flights from Kabul to Islamabad to what they were before the new government came into power.
The statement added that in the event of any such violations, Afghans should file a complaint.
The Islamic Emirate issued the statement, after PIA started charging up to $2,500 for each ticket from Kabul to Islamabad. The statement reads that the Airlines will be fined and punished if they violate the rules.
