Jalandhar : A tragic incident unfolded in Jalandhar on Monday morning when an SUV, while being driven at high speed, hit and killed a dog before running over a three-year-old child. The young child, along with his family, was on their way to perform his mundan ceremony after a long-awaited joy. The child’s family, led by Lucky Hans, the operator of Lucky Dhaba, had been eagerly anticipating this moment, as it marked a significant cultural milestone. After eight years of waiting, Lucky had finally been blessed with a son, and they were making their way to the local temple for the ceremony when the horrific accident occurred.

As they were traveling on the road, the SUV first struck a dog, and in the ensuing chaos, the vehicle continued on its path and ran over the child, crushing him under the wheels. The driver, who was reportedly driving at a high speed, seemed to have lost control of the vehicle, leading to this devastating turn of events. The family was left in utter shock and disbelief as their joyous day turned into a nightmare. The child, who had just celebrated his third birthday, was immediately rushed to the hospital, but unfortunately, doctors could not save him.

The authorities have launched an investigation into the incident, and the driver of the SUV has been detained for questioning. The local police have gathered details regarding the accident and are working to determine if speeding or negligence was the primary cause of the crash. There is also growing concern about the lack of safety measures, as accidents involving speeding vehicles continue to plague the city, claiming innocent lives.

The family is devastated by the loss of their beloved child, and the community is grieving with them. This incident has sparked discussions about road safety, particularly in areas where vehicles often speed without regard for pedestrians or animals. The authorities are expected to take necessary actions to address these concerns and prevent such tragedies in the future.
