Surface to Ballistic Missile, Agni-5 with 5000 km range tested
APJ Kalam Islands, Oct. 27: Surface to Surface Ballistic Missile, Agni-5, successfully launched from APJ Abdul Kalam Island, Odisha. Agni-5 is capable of striking targets at ranges up to 5,000 kilometres with a very high degree of accuracy.
The Missile has a reach to cover regions over entire Pakistan and China, according to Defence experts. This is part of India’s defence preparedness program, keeping in mind China’s aggressive postures on Indian borders, including Arunachal Pradesh.
