Etawah (UP): Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party (PSP) president Shivpal Singh Yadav and his nephew and Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav on Friday exchanged barbs without taking each other’s name through Kansa and Duryodhana remarks.
Shivpal without naming Samajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav, compared him with the demon king Kansa in Dwapar Yuga and former retaliated back with Duryodhana remark.
On the occasion of Janmashtami, Shivpal issued a letter to Yaduvanshi from his party office in Lucknow mentioning the atrocities of Lord Krishna’s maternal uncle Kansa towards his father without taking Akhilesh’s name.
Akhilesh on the other hand while addressing a meeting in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, indirectly targeted Shivpal by referring to Duryodhana. Shivpal many times before has targeted Akhilesh by telling tales of Mahabharata and Ramayana, but for the first time Akhilesh has retaliated.
The point made by Akhilesh by mentioning the name Duryodhana is being considered as an answer for Shivpal.
Extending greetings on the occasion of Janmashtami, Shivpal, while mentioning Bhagavad Gita, said, “Whenever a Kansa insults his (revered) father with deceit in the society and establishes unauthorized hegemony by removing him from the post, son of mother Yashoda Yogeshwar Shri Krishna takes birth to save the religion.”
Akhilesh retaliated to Shivpal’s remarks in Gwalior, where he said, “You all know what Duryodhana was, he asked for the whole army, but the side with which Lord Krishna was standing emerged victorious.” (UNI)
