Shilpa Shetty & Raj Kundra Face ₹60 Crore Fraud

Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra have found themselves in the middle of controversy after being named in a ₹60 crore fraud case. The allegations, filed by businessman Deepak Kothari, claim the couple cheated him between 2015 and 2023. The complaint was lodged with the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) in Mumbai.

Interestingly, the news comes just after a video surfaced of Shilpa and Raj visiting spiritual leader Premanand Maharaj. During the visit, Shilpa discussed chanting ‘Radha’ as a way to overcome personal struggles, to which the guru responded with blessings for her happiness.

According to their lawyer, Prashant Patil, the case is purely civil in nature and has already been adjudicated by the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) Mumbai on October 4, 2024. Patil called the allegations “baseless” and “malicious,” claiming the matter has been under investigation for over a year with evidence proving their innocence. He further stated that the case was an attempt to tarnish the couple’s reputation, and that they are taking appropriate legal action against those responsible.
