Settle individual forest claims of tribals in Nashik: Dy Speaker

Nashik, Jun 15 (UNI) Assembly Deputy Speaker Narhari Jirwal has instructed to settle the individual forest claims in the district expeditiously by fulfilling the criteria at the forest committee level.
According to official press note released today that Mr Jirwal was speaking In the review meeting of various schemes being implemented under the Tribal Development Department in the Planning Hall of the Collectorate yesterday The meeting was attended by MLA and traibal; development officers, Tribal Development Commissioner Hiralal Sonwane, Tribal Development Corporation Managing Director Nitin Patil, and others.
Mr Jirwal further said that the taluka level committee is expected to provide three pieces of evidence to the claimants to settle the claims of the forest tenants. The Forest Officer should check the old documents in these cases and provide the necessary evidence so that the cases can be disposed of expeditiously.

Mr. Jirwal said the benefits of the Khawati scheme should reach the Scheduled Tribes. If the beneficiaries do not have Aadhar card and other required documents while conducting the survey, they should complete the camp by organizing a camp at the project officer level.
