Scindia: Centre committed for comprehensive development of Kolhapur airport
Kolhapur: Union civil aviation minister Joytiraditya Scindia assured that the union government was committed for the comprehensive development of Kolhapur airport, which had built in late Rajaram Maharaj Chhatrapati of Karveer and the new modern domestic building of the airport will be ready by March next.
Scindia, while inaugurating Kolhapur-Mumbai air service by on-line under the union government’s ‘Uddan’ scheme on behalf of Star-Air of industrialist Sanjay Ghodavat, Kolhapur airport would impel to agriculture, industry, tourism and business sector in the areas and his. The Ministry would try for international flights from this airport in future.
While Star-Air’s chairman Mr. Ghodavat said that connectivity with 19 main cities in the country and giving priority for development of the city, he would try to start international flights from this airport.
Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Kolhapur, Dhananjay Mahadik, Sanjay Mandlik, Dharysheel Mane, all MPs, Ruturaj Patil, MLA, Rahul Rekhavar, district collector, Dr Sanjay Patil of D You Patil group, Shrenik Ghodavat, director Ghodavat group, Anil Shinde, director Airport authority and others were present in a function which was held at Kolhapur airport.
