SC collegium recommends the appointment of new judges to High Courts
Apex court also reiterated its earlier recommendations for elevation of Shri Sakya Sen, Advocate as Judge in the Calcutta High Court.
New Delhi, Oct 8 (UNI) The Supreme Court collegium has recommended the appointment of four lawyers and one judicial officer as judges of the Rajasthan High Court, including the proposal for elevation of advocate Manu Khare, son of former CJI V N Khare, as Judge to the Allahabad High Court.
The Supreme Court Collegium in its meeting held on October 06, 2021 had approved the proposal for elevation of Shri Manu Khare, advocate as Judge in the Allahabad High Court.
The Collegium also recommended the decision of elevation of four lawyers to Rajasthan High Court as judges.
The four lawyers recommended are:
1. Kuldeep Mathur
2. Maneesh Sharma
3. Rekha Borana
4. Sameer Jain.
The Supreme Court Collegium had also approved the proposal for appointment of the following Additional Judges as Permanent Judges in the Punjab & Haryana High Court.
1. Mr. Justice Suvir Sehgal,
2. Mrs. Justice Alka Sarin,
3. Mr. Justice Jasgurpreet Singh Puri,
4. Mr. Justice Ashok Kumar Verma,
5. Mr. Justice Sant Parkash,
6. Smt. Justice Meenakshi I. Mehta,
7. Mr. Justice Karamjit Singh,
8. Mr. Justice Vivek Puri,
9. Smt. Justice Archana Puri, and
10. Mr. Justice Rajesh Bhardwaj.
The Supreme Court Collegium in its meeting held on October, 06, 2021 had approved the proposal for elevation of Shri J. Sathya Narayana Prasad, Advocate, as Judge in the Madras High Court.
The Apex court Collegium, in its meeting held on October, 08, 2021, approved the proposal for elevation of Shri Soubhik Mitter, Advocate as Judge in the Calcutta High Court.
The Supreme Court Collegium in its meeting held on October 08, 2021 has, on reconsideration, resolved to reiterate its earlier recommendations for elevation of Shri Sakya Sen, Advocate as Judge in the Calcutta High Court.
