Sarveen Choudhary: Sustainable and inclusive development a priority
Dharamsala, Jul 28 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Sarveen Choudhary on Wednesday said that the state government is laying emphasis on sustainable and inclusive development in villages and cities as it was priority of the government.
The Minister said that it is the endeavour of the government that development should take place at the same pace in all the areas so that not a single person, class or region remains neglected in the development journey. She said that two jeepable roads are to be constructed at the cost of Rs 18.60 lakh in Shahpur assembly constituency.
Speaking after laying the foundation stone of Phera, Thugdi, Kahlian, Mor Balla Malahadu road from Gram Panchayat Lanj Khas approved under NABARD, Ms Choudhary said that three more jeepable roads one at Jhikla Lanj was constructed at the cost Rs 7.30 lakh, in Gram Panchayat Dandoli another road was constructed at the cost Rs 6.26 lakh, and third road was constructed at the cost of Rs 4 lakhs.
Apart from this, work is in progress for the construction of community/public toilets, rest house, lounge, to be constructed with Rs 10 lakh and two classrooms in Government Senior Secondary School, Lanj, to be constructed with Rs 16.34 lakh.
She informed that Rs 1.43 crores have been approved in NABARD under Jal Shakti sub-division MANED, Rs 2.91 crore under Jal Jeevan Mission and Rs 31.90 crore in ADB and the works are in progress.
During this, the Minister provided financial assistance in the form of a cheques of Rs 4.8 lakhs among the needy.
After this, she inaugurated the Health Sub Center Bhawan at Nowsehra constructed at a cost of Rs 18.73 lakhs.
She said that the people of the vicinity would be benefitted from this health sub-centre as the government was determined to provide better health facilities to the people of the state at their doorsteps.
She said that programs like Himcare Yojna, Ayushman Bharat, Muskaan Programme, Sahara Yojna, Jeevandhara Yojna, Chief Minister Medical Assistance Fund Atal Ashirwad Yojna are being implemented by the government to provide better health facilities up to the village level.
Ms Choudhary said that government was working with full dedication for the overall development of every person in the Shahpur Vidhan Sabha and all possible steps have been taken for the welfare of the poor, weaker and disadvantaged sections of the society along with carrying forward the schemes for the upliftment of women in an effective manner.
