Sanatan Dharma exists since time immortal: Yogi
Mathura (UP): On the occasion of Janmashtami on Friday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reiterated his commitment to preserve and promote the spiritual and cultural heritage of the state.
He said, “Paritranaya Sadhunam Vinashaya Cha Dushkritam’ (to protect the righteous and to annihilate the wicked), the teachings of Lord Shri Krishna, inspires our thoughts, actions and vision.”
In the presence of saints, who came to the ‘Braj Bhoomi’ from different states, the CM also paid his respects to the ‘Sanatan’ traditions. He pointed out that while some civilizations are 2,700 years old, others are 1,400, 1,700 or 2,000 years ool, whereas Sanatan
civilization has been in existence since time immemorial. “Lord Krishna arrived on this earth about 5,000 years ago and his ‘Leela’s’ are celebrated in every part of the country and the world even today.”
He said that today with the blessings of Banke Bihari, through the Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad, efforts are being made to keep the ancient cultural and spiritual heritage intact.
Paying respects to the saints present, the CM recalled the successful organization of the ‘Vaishnav Kumbh’ in Vrindavan and referred to the efforts made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to give recognition to India’s great traditions and practices like ‘Yoga’.
Yogi said that the devotion of the pilgrims during the holy month of ‘Sharvan’ could be seen in Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple and that with the completion of the construction of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya, the citizens of the country will be filled with absolute pride.
Expressing his deep affection for the holy land of Mathura-Vrindavan, the CM also revealed his immense admiration for the holy spirit of the devotees who came here. He said that devotees from far away arrive carrying bundles on their heads only to offer prayers to Lord Shri Krishna and express their dedication.
On the special occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, he along with the saints inaugurated the double-storied ‘Annapurna Bhawan’ developed by the Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad and Mangalam Parivar Trust in Vrindavan. He himself received the ‘prasad’ after distributing the same.
Earlier, CM Yogi also flagged off electric buses.
