Chandigarh, Sep 28 (UNI) Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) Kisan Wing president Sikandar Singh Maluka on Tuesday asked state minister and Congress leader Gurpreet Singh Kangar not to tell absurd lies that
four members of his family had been murdered in the course of his service to the Congress party, saying no family member of Kangar had even suffered a scratch during his stay with the Congress.

Mr Maluka said here that it was shocking that Kangar, who had indulged in unbridled corruption as Revenue as well as Power Minister, was talking about service to society after being thrown out of the State cabinet. “Instead of shedding crocodile tears in conjunction with Balbir Sidhu, Kangar should have perused his detailed file which has been prepared by Prashant Kishore. The file lists all your misdeeds with full details of how all postings in the Revenue department were sold by you as well as the fact that you personally summoned all records of registries done every month to Chandigarh to ensure officers gave you your full cut from their illegal earnings. The manner in which you served people is also listed in the file which states that far from answering any phone call at 0100 hrs as claimed, you were always inebriated by 2200 hrs and had to be put to sleep by your security officials”.
Telling Kangar to see the reality around him, he said: “Is it not true that people distributed sweets across all villages and towns of Rampura Phul when you were thrown out of the cabinet? If you don’t believe so it is best you check the social media yourself.” The Akali leader also asked Kangar to tell with what right he was trying to attract sympathy from the people. “You don’t have one accomplishment to your credit either in governance or in Rampura Phul”. He also gave instances how Kangar had taken over the Rampura Phul truck union and imposed costs on truck operators besides selling all municipal and even panchayat seats to the highest bidder.

Asserting that a turncoat like Kangar, who had always changed loyalties in his greed for power could never befool the people with such cheap tricks, Mr Maluka asked the former minister to explain how he amassed such a huge wealth despite being from a humble background. “Former Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh’s house was built in two years but it is five years since your house is still in the building stage”.
He also rebutted Kangar’s claim that he had given 4,200 jobsuring his stint in the Power ministry. He said this was furthest from the truth. “As per information collected by me from the State power utility, only 109 jobs were created during Kangar’s stint as Power minister. All these jobs were taken out in routine to fill vacancies and none of them was taken out as part of any extraordinary measure by Kangar,” he added.
