Tirupati, Jul 27 (UNI) A four lane highway by-pass connecting Madanapalli to Tirupati directly at a cost of Rs 1000 crore and promoting education, tourism and agricultural development of the region is on the anvil.

The YSRCP MP from Rajampeta PV Mithun Reddy told UNI that the link and the highway bypass via CTM, Vayalpadu, Kalikiri and Pileru will reduce distance to Tirupati and also bring down road accidents on Bangalore- Anantapur-Hyderabad highways.

According to Rajampet YSRCP MP who met the union Minister for Road Transport and Highways at Delhi on Tuesday said the works under the National Highways project have already been sanctioned, funds released and tenders due in August- September . The preliminary survey was completed, and all is set to commence within a few months.

The MP said the project will also promote development of hundreds villages and towns on the route with linkage for agricultural products marketing, education, Medicare, hospitality industry and tourism in the belt.
He said the new highway extension will be a boon to people of Piler and Madanapalli constituencies.
