Retired Navy Officer Missing for 40 Days

Haryana  In a distressing turn of events, a retired Indian Navy officer has been missing for over 40 days, leaving his family in deep anxiety and concern. The retired officer, who was last seen in Chandigarh, mysteriously disappeared while returning from Himachal Pradesh. Since then, there has been no trace of him, and despite desperate efforts, the family remains without answers.

His daughter, a retired Lieutenant Colonel from the Indian Army, has now taken it upon herself to lead the search. She has travelled across states, spoken to police officers, traced possible routes, and followed any possible lead that could take her closer to finding her father. Recently, she arrived in Karnal, Haryana, where she is continuing the search with the hope that someone might have seen or heard something.

According to her, the last time her father was in contact was during his return journey from a short trip to Himachal Pradesh. He was expected to pass through Chandigarh, but he never made it back home. His mobile phone was switched off, and there has been no activity in his bank accounts or on social media, further deepening the mystery.

The retired officer’s family filed a missing person report immediately after losing contact, but they allege that the initial response from the authorities was slow. “We were told to wait, maybe he lost his way, maybe he was resting somewhere, but it’s been more than a month now,” said his daughter with a heavy voice. She believes something is seriously wrong and is now appealing to the public to help trace her father.

She has also reached out to local police stations in Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, and Haryana, showing her father’s photograph and asking if any CCTV footage or eyewitnesses can confirm his last movements. “He has served the country all his life, and now I am asking the country to help find him,” she says emotionally.

The family is urging anyone who might have seen the missing man or has any information about his whereabouts to contact the nearest police station. Social media platforms are also being used to spread awareness with the hope that public involvement may lead to a breakthrough. For now, the search continues. A daughter, once a soldier herself, is now fighting the biggest battle of her life to bring her father back home. She remains determined, refusing to give up until she gets closure.
