Chandigarh-Punjab: Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has stepped forward to support the people affected by the devastating floods in Punjab. Anant Ambani, director at Reliance, expressed that the company’s thoughts and efforts are with the flood-affected families during this difficult time.

Working closely with the state administration, local panchayats, and volunteer organizations, Reliance has been providing immediate relief in the worst-hit villages of Amritsar and Sultanpur Lodhi. The company has launched a comprehensive 10-point relief plan covering nutrition, shelter, public health, and livestock support.

At the grassroots level, over 10,000 families are receiving ration kits to maintain proper nutrition, while 1,000 families headed by women or senior citizens are given vouchers worth ₹5,000 each. Community kitchens are supplied with food, and portable water filters are installed to ensure safe drinking water. Displaced families are receiving essential items including tarpaulins, ground sheets, mosquito nets, ropes, and bedding.

Anant Ambani emphasized that many families have lost homes and businesses, and the entire Reliance family stands in solidarity with Punjab. Relief measures also include arrangements for animals, and careful monitoring is being done to prevent disease outbreaks during and after the floods.

Jio teams are coordinating with NDRF to restore network connectivity across flood-affected areas, ensuring 100% coverage throughout the state. Reliance Retail is providing kits containing 21 essential items to help families manage immediate needs, reflecting the company’s strong commitment to Punjab’s flood relief efforts.
