Mumbai: MVA rebels have reached Assam capital Gauhati along with their leader Eknath Shinde. They claim to be 40 ‘Shiv Sainiks’ in support for change in Maharashtra.

Though Bhartiya Janata Party state president Chandrakant Patil on Tuesday said that BJP has no hands behind the rebellious behavior adopted by senior Shiv Sena leader and state Urban Development Minister Eknath Shinde.
Speaking at a press conference held at the BJP state office in Mumbai, Patil said it would be too early to comment on Shinde’s role now.
He is the group leader of Shiv Sena in the legislature. Their role and the situation created by it is an internal matter of that party. Neither BJP has not made any proposal to Shinde, nor any proposal has come from him.
He further said that after the 2019 Assembly elections, Shiv Sena broke alliance with BJP and joined hands with Congress and NCP and came to power by forming the Maha Vikas Aghadi. But as this is an unnatural alliance, Shiv Sena MPs and MLAs are infiltrating it.
Many feel that they cannot win the forthcoming elections without an alliance with BJP. It is natural for the party leaders to come out of it, added Patil.
State Vice President Madhav Bhandari, Sunil Karjatkar, Raj Purohit, Kripashankar Singh, State Chief Spokesperson Keshav Upadhye, North Indian Morcha Coordinator Sanjay Pandey and Spokesperson Atul Shah were present on the occasion. (UNI)
