Rajendra Rana justifies Ghar Wapsi owing to dictatorship in the State Congress
Calls upon local voters to support the BJP candidates, and help the Party achieve 400 Paar
Mohali (Punjab): Former Congress leader Rajendra Rana who joined back BJP recently after spending over about 12 years in the Congress, having defeated the former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal, as Independent candidate from Sujanpur in 2012. Now he is fighting from the same constituency as Bhartiya Janata Party candidate.
He abhored being called Dal Badloo by his detractors, as he was feeling suffocated in the Congress rule and called the Himachal Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu as a dictator, who would not listen to the Party workers and supporters. His return to BJP is a Ghar Wapasi, as was a BJP worker and leader long back. He was then denied ticketr by BJP having shifted Dhoomal from Hamirpur in 2012 Assembly polls.
Addressing a large gathering of his supporters in Kharar (Mohali) under the banner of Himachali Janhit Mahasabha last evening, he called this place as his Karam Bhoomi and was glad to be among his old friends and followers. Rana was one of the six MLAs expelled by the State Congress for voting BJP’s Rajya Sabha candidate Harsh Mahajan in the election to Upper House early this year. He was welcomed by Mahasabha President Jagdev Patel and General Secretary Prithviraj Shukla.
Rajender Rana called upon the voters of Punjab and Chandigarh to support BJP candidates and help them secure a 400 Plus target in Lok Sabha. He also praised PM Modi’s welfare schemes and Modi ki Guarantee.
