Former Congress Minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas accused the state government of this “unprecedented action” and demanded an investigation. He said, “The Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma and the BJP government have broken all records of wrongdoing today. Why was sewage water used on hundreds of Congress workers and leaders gathered at the Shaheed Smarak? Who gave the orders to spray it, and if it was the Chief Minister’s order, we will protest wherever he goes in Rajasthan.”

Khachariyawas further criticized the government, stating that during Congress’s tenure, no such actions were taken against BJP workers. He expressed his anger over the alleged incident, highlighting that Congress leaders and workers were drenched in dirty water, causing them health issues and discomfort. He demanded an apology from Chief Minister Sharma and the BJP government, warning of severe consequences if they failed to do so.

Khachariyawas also recalled that during their government, Congress allowed BJP leaders to reach the Statue Circle without obstruction, unlike the current situation where the BJP government is deliberately creating a confrontation.
