Aurangabad, May 1: MNS chief Raj Thackeray on Sunday accused NCP chief Sharad Pawar of indulging in caste politics. In his public rally Raj Thackeray targeted Sharad Pawar and said that the history of Maharashtra is different. Shivaji Maharaj established Swarajya by taking 18 Pagad castes with him. But, just to do dirty politics in Maharashtra, Sharad Pawar, is working as a poison, and trying to divide Maharashtra along the lines of caste-religion (Jati-Dharma). Today this poison has even penetrated schools and colleges. He further alleged that Sharad Pawar never took Shivaji Maharaj’s name. Only when I questioned this, now they are taking the name of Shivaji Maharaj. Pawar always focuses on the thoughts of Phule-Shahu-Ambedkar in the beginning of his speech. He said that Sharad Pawar is allergic to the word ‘Hindu’ and he does not even put a photo of Shivaji Maharaj. Earlier, Raj Thackeray announced in Aurangabad’s public meeting that he would hold public meetings in every district of Marathwada, West Maharashtra, Vidarbha, all these divisions. (UNI)
