Railway Board Chairman to Inspect Varanasi Cantt Station Before Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav

Varanasi : Ahead of Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav’s visit to Varanasi, Railway Board Chairman Sujeet Kumar is set to inspect the Cantt and Banaras stations. While the exact time of his visit remains unclear, preparations to enhance the stations’ appearance have already begun. Special salon cars will be stationed at both Cantt and Banaras stations during the inspection.

Repairs on escalators and lifts, along with a cleanliness drive, are being carried out at the Cantt station. Unauthorized personnel have also been fined by the commercial department. Meanwhile, arrangements related to passenger amenities and food services are being improved.

On December 8, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav will land at Babatpur Airport and may inspect the stations and the upcoming ropeway project near the Cantt station. The visit will focus on improving infrastructure and assessing the ongoing preparations for the Prayagraj Mahakumbh.
