Rahul Gandhi expresses condolences on demise of Vinod Dua
Veteran TV journalist passes away due to Covid-19 and other complications
New Delhi, Dec 4 (UNI) Congress MP Rahul Gandhi expressed his condolences on the demise of senior journalist Vinod Dua, who passed away at a private hospital here on Saturday.
Dua’s daughter Mallika broke the news on social media, saying that the veteran journalist breathed his last at around 1630 hrs. He will be cremated at Lodhi Road crematorium on Sunday afternoon.
The 67-year-old was undergoing treatment for liver infection at Sant Parmanand Hospital before being shifted to the ICU of Apollo Hospital, where he passed away. He was also infected with Novel Coronavirus in May and since then, his condition had deteriorated.
His wife Padmavati Dua (fondly called Chinna by Vinod) died of Covid-19 on June 11.
The warm and affectionate journalist belonged to the first generation of TV journalists in India. He worked with Doordarshan, NDTV and Sahara channels.
