Punjab Teacher Narinder Singh Wins National Teachers’ Award 2025

Ludhiana – Narinder Singh, a dedicated teacher at Government Primary School (GPS), Jandiali, has been selected for the prestigious National Teachers’ Award 2025.
The honour will be conferred at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi on September 5, where Singh will receive a certificate of merit, a cash prize of ₹50,000, and a silver medal for his remarkable contribution to quality education.
Expressing gratitude, Singh said, “This achievement belongs to my students, colleagues and the Education Department. I will continue striving to make a positive impact on the lives of my students.”
✅ Teaching Journey
Narinder Singh began his teaching career in 2002 at a private school before joining GPS Jandiali. He recalls how the challenging environment motivated him to instill discipline, manners, and etiquette among students.
He also introduced the Red Cross concept at the primary level, an initiative that was appreciated during the visit of then Punjab Red Cross Director CS Talwar.
Singh’s recognition highlights the efforts of teachers working at the grassroots level to bring meaningful change to education in rural Punjab.
