Punjab Roadways bus collides with truck, over 10 passengers injured

Khanna : A major road accident took place near McDonald’s on the National Highway in Khanna on Tuesday when a speeding truck-trailer lost control, jumped the divider, and crashed into a Punjab Roadways bus coming from the opposite direction.

The collision was so severe that over 10 passengers, most of them students, sustained injuries. The impact led to a massive traffic jam on the busy highway.

Bus Was En Route from Ludhiana to Patiala

According to eyewitnesses, the trailer was reportedly moving in the wrong direction. The driver lost control, breaking through the divider and hitting the Punjab Roadways bus traveling from Ludhiana to Patiala head-on.

Rescue and Relief Efforts

Following the accident, teams from City Police Station-2, the Road Safety Force (RSF), and 108 Ambulance Service reached the spot immediately to assist the injured.
