Punjab Government Transfers 6 IAS and 39 PCS Officers in Major Administrative Reshuffle
Chandigarh : The Punjab government on Friday carried out a large-scale administrative reshuffle, issuing transfer and posting orders for 6 IAS and 39 PCS officers. The move includes new postings across several key departments and districts, bringing significant changes to the state’s administrative structure.Newspapers
The reshuffle is being seen as an effort by the government to strengthen administrative efficiency and improve functioning across departments. Major departments including Home, Housing and Urban Development, Agriculture, Transport and Revenue have witnessed key changes in leadership.
Among IAS officers, Neelima has been appointed as Secretary, Home Department.
Manish Rana has been posted as Managing Director, PRTC Patiala.
IAS Sakshi Sawhney has been given the charge of Chief Administrator, Department of Housing and Urban Development, along with additional responsibility as Director, Town and Country Planning. Sandeep Kumar has been appointed Chief Administrator, GMADA.
IAS Abhijeet Kaplish has been posted as Director, Mining and Geology, with additional charge as Chief Executive of PEDA. Latif Ahmed has been appointed Additional Secretary, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, along with additional charge as Chief Executive Officer of the Punjab Waqf Board.
In the PCS cadre, Rajesh Kumar Sharma has been appointed SDM Talwandi Sabo.
Sanjeev Sharma has been posted as ADC (General), Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, while Rohit Gupta has been appointed Additional Resident Commissioner and General Manager, Punjab Bhawan, New Delhi.
Alka Kalia has been made SDM Amritsar-I and Estate Officer, Amritsar Development Authority. Deepjyoti Kaur has been appointed SDM Bassi Pathana.
Harpreet Singh Atwal has been posted as RTO Mohali, and Rajesh Kumar Sharma has also been given additional charge as RTO Bathinda.
Laxman Singh has been appointed SDM Zira, while Mandeep Kaur has been posted as SDM Bhawanigarh.
Other key postings include Arshdeep Singh Lubhane as ADC (General), Pathankot; Shubh Aggarwal as SDM Jalandhar-I; Ankita Kansal as AC (General), Mohali; Mandeep Singh Mann as SDM Pathankot; Sukhjinder Singh Tiwana as SDM Rajpura; Tarun Gupta as SDM Fatehgarh Sahib; and Manveer Singh Dhillon as SDM Lopoke.
The government has also assigned additional charges to several officers. The reshuffle is being viewed in administrative circles as a step aimed at accelerating governance and preparing for upcoming developmental and administrative challenges.
