Punjab : Former Punjab cabinet minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal made a silent yet powerful appearance at the Golden Temple in Amritsar, just days after being removed from his ministerial post. In a move that surprised many, Dhaliwal chose spirituality over political statements and offered prayers, calling his journey in public service a “privilege” and said he respects the party’s decision.

The visit has created a buzz in political and public circles. Many interpreted it as an emotional gesture and a symbolic way of expressing his inner peace and acceptance after being dropped from the state cabinet by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government. Dhaliwal, a key face in Punjab politics, held crucial portfolios and was known for his grassroots connect and active fieldwork.

When asked about his removal, Dhaliwal said, “I consider public service a great blessing. I have no complaints. The party has its reasons, and I fully respect the leadership’s decision.” His calm demeanor and composed response drew appreciation from many, including party insiders and opponents.

Dhaliwal did not make any aggressive statements nor did he hint at rebellion, which further raised his stature as a grounded politician. Political analysts believe that his humility might earn him a stronger position in the party in the future, or even public sympathy that could work in his favor electorally.

His visit to the Golden Temple also sent a clear message that he’s turning toward spiritual strength during this transition period. Eyewitnesses say he spent a long time in prayer and avoided any political discussions inside the temple premises. His supporters say he remains committed to public service, even without a cabinet position.

Meanwhile, party sources claim that the cabinet reshuffle is part of AAP’s performance-based restructuring, and more such changes may follow. However, Dhaliwal’s mature response and dignified silence stand out in a political climate often dominated by blame games.
