Police removes barricades from Ghazipur-Delhi Border

New Delhi, Oct 29 (UNI) Delhi Police on Friday started removing barricades from Ghazipur border (National Highway 24) where farmers from Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab have been protesting against three new farm laws for the last 11 months.

The blockades are being removed from Ghazipur border after that the stretch will be opened for vehicular movement. The police has already removed barricades and the process is underway to clear cemented blocks.
The police will remove barricades and concrete blocks from Ghazipur border (National Highway 24) and allow traffic movement on this road, said a Delhi Police official.
It is learnt that the protesting farmers had removed their tents from Ghazipur border site last week after the Supreme Court said the farmers have the right to agitate but they cannot block roads.
