PM Modi Warns Pakistan Again Over Terror Support
At G7, Modi slams West’s double standards and warns future strikes
New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a strong and direct message to the global community at the G7 Summit, emphasizing India’s firm stance against terrorism. Speaking on a global platform attended by top world leaders, Modi sharply criticized the West for its selective and inconsistent approach to terrorism. He pointed out that some nations supporting terrorism are being rewarded diplomatically or economically, while sanctions are imposed arbitrarily in other situations. In an uncompromising tone, PM Modi warned Pakistan to stop its support for terrorism or be prepared for another potential Indian response similar to Operation Sindoor. Without naming Pakistan directly in parts of his speech, Modi made it clear that any country providing shelter or support to terrorists would not be tolerated by India. He added that terrorism should not be categorized based on political convenience, and the world must adopt a zero-tolerance approach across all regions. Referring to previous Indian military operations against terrorist camps across the border, Modi reiterated India’s right to defend itself and its citizens against cross-border terror. He also questioned the international community’s silence and double standards when it comes to terrorism emanating from certain regions. The prime minister’s remarks were particularly aimed at Western nations that continue to engage with states accused of harboring terrorism while pressurizing others under the guise of human rights or international diplomacy. Modi’s comments come at a time of growing global insecurity and renewed concern over terrorist networks operating with state backing. His assertive tone was met with cautious reactions from several leaders at the summit, though many acknowledged India’s long-standing struggle with terrorism. Security analysts say Modi’s statement is not only a warning to Pakistan but also a message to global powers that India will no longer tolerate passive diplomacy on terror. As tensions in South Asia remain delicate, Modi’s message underscores India’s proactive strategy in dealing with threats at its borders and influencing global opinion on counter-terrorism. The G7 platform provided Modi with the ideal opportunity to project India’s firm global stance and to call for unified international action against nations promoting or protecting terrorism.
