Punjab : Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) National General Secretary Tarun Chugh has stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given special recognition to the sacrifices of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev. The government has approved development projects worth ₹53 crore in Khatkar Kalan and ₹25 crore in Hussainiwala, both of which are historically significant sites associated with Shaheed Bhagat Singh. These initiatives aim to preserve and enhance the legacy of India’s freedom fighters.

Speaking at an event in Punjab, Chugh emphasized the government’s commitment to honoring the nation’s martyrs by developing memorials and historical sites. He pointed out that Khatkar Kalan, the ancestral village of Bhagat Singh, will see major infrastructure improvements, including a museum renovation and better facilities for visitors. Similarly, Hussainiwala, where Bhagat Singh and his comrades were cremated, will undergo significant restoration work.

Chugh highlighted that under the leadership of PM Modi, the government is actively working to instill patriotism and educate future generations about the sacrifices of the freedom fighters. He added that these initiatives are part of a broader effort to ensure that the younger generation remains connected to the country’s rich history and freedom struggle.

Apart from the infrastructure projects, the government is also planning to introduce digital archives and interactive exhibitions at these sites to provide an immersive experience for visitors. These developments aim to transform the historical locations into educational and inspirational landmarks.

BJP leaders have expressed their gratitude to PM Modi for his continued focus on preserving India’s cultural and historical heritage. They have also assured that similar projects will be undertaken in other parts of the country to honor national heroes and revolutionaries.

The announcement has been well-received by various political and social groups who see it as a crucial step in preserving India’s revolutionary history. As work on these projects progresses, the government hopes to boost tourism and awareness about the country’s freedom struggle.
