PK Dhumal blasts those opposing vaccination
Nodal Officer Amitabh Awasthi: As many as 1392 Covid-19 cases received on Saturday
Hamirpur (HP), Apr 17(UNI) Former Himachal Pradesh chief minister and senior BJP leader PK Dhumal on Saturday took a dig at the opposition leaders who initially opposed the Corona vaccination program but are now complaining about the shortage of vaccines in the country.
He said such people should stop making such allegations and join the movement to end the virus from the nation by getting them vaccinated first.
Mr Dhumal told UNI that while the government was doing its best to contain the virus, the Opposition too should come forward and help the government in this matter rather than making various types of accusations against the government. He said that without life no politicking was possible and that was why first to save the lives of the people and then do the politics.
He said that there was a need to save oneself and their families from the virus as the second strain of the virus was much more dangerous than the previous one.
Mr Dhumal said that people should adopt four things in their life: wearing face masks, maintaining social distancing, washing hands with the soap repeatedly and not to venture out unnecessary. He said that if these four items were adopted in totality, the threat of the virus could be avoided.
He said that there were many people in the society that were ignoring the COVID guidelines and thereby causing danger to them, their families and their surroundings and in fact were the real couriers of the virus. They should understand that safety (prevention) is the main ‘Kavacha’ (armor) of remaining fit and healthy.
Replying to a question, he said that the state government was taking all steps to contain the virus and there was a time that all should abide by the government guidelines including those dealing in the tourism industry. They should help the government in this matter and for that they should come forward themselves to implement the orders. He said that if people were not safe, the main aim of tourism would be in jeopardy.
Mr Dhumal gave a clarion call to the people to make vaccination drive successful by going to vaccination booths and thereby save the society from the wrath of the deadly virus.
