Dubai/Mohali: Cricket is known as a Gentlemen’s Game! But when wounds of terrorism 
, unleashed on civilians, enjoying a family time at a calm tourist space (Pahalgam), are still unhealed, many countrymen would forget the . Gentlemanship. Many would call for revenge until each Drop of Blood is drawn out of the bodies of the Terrorists and their trainers/commanders across border. Many would call for snapping off all relations, dialogues and meetings with Pakistan, the cunning neighbour with decades of terrorist infiltrations, violence and sabotage against India.
But as they say : Life Must Go On !’ for those who are alive, and have to survive. Yes, there was much clamour across the 
country over the last month about an India-Pakistan cricket encounter scheduled on Sunday, Sept. 14 allowed by Modi Govt, during Asia Cup Cricket Tournament. All Opposition politicians belonging to the Congress, SP, AAP, Shiv Sena (UBT), AIMIM etc. were calling for boycott of Pakistan and forefeiting any chance of winning an international tournament. Many were throwing insinuations on the Modi-led NDA Govt. of duplicity in dealing with sentiments of hurt countrymen!
But Govt. of India preferred Diplomacy over Sentiment for ‘revenge unlimited’. Though the sports and games are organised by international non-political; sports bodies and associations, the participating Nations have a role in allowing a national team to fight against a nation or not, for reasons of safety, sentiment and other domestic reasons. ICC, BCCI and Asian Cricket Council are the sole organisers of these events and scheduling all Gentlemen’s Tournaments across borders. Any member Nation refusing to play, loses its position, points and any revenues generated.
Modi government left it to the Men 
in Blue, to settle the score with rival Pakistan and continue Operation Sindoor, which they did by thrashing the Pakistan team with 7 wickets at the Dubai Cricket Stadium (matching May 7 strike back by Indian Air Force). Indian ‘Soldiers of the Willow’ took the revenge on the ground as well as on the corrodors of power in Islamabad. Indian team led by Suryakumar Yadav skuttled out rival batsmen at 127 for 9, with Kuldip Yadav taking 3 for 18 runs and Axar Patel 3 for 18 in four overs each followed by 47 run score by Captain Suryakumar and 31 by Abhishek Sharma to complete the task assigned by 144 crore countrymen back in India. To sprinkle salt over the injury, the Indian Soldiers of the Willow refused to shake hands with rival team after thrashing them blue.
Now that our Men in Bl
ue have performed their task with pride and aplomb, the Indian politicians like Akhilesh Yadav, Tejeshvi Yadav, Arvind Kejriwal, Uddhav Thackrey, Sanjay Raut and Assad-udin Owaisey should not feel Shy of Thanking Team Suryakumar Yadav for continuing Operation Sindoor in a fitting revengeful spirit with the Bat and Ball.
And, Yes, they must also share a Word of Praise to Team Modi for performing a Diplomatic feat without uttering a word in retort to their critical verbose. Politics should also have Gentlemen of the Tongue!
