Operation Sindoor: Cease fire announced between India-Pak
New Delhi/Islambad: In a short and impromptu Press Conference by Indian Foreign Secreary Vikram Misri shortly before Six p.m. this evening, it was declared that a Cease-fire has been worked out between India and Pakistan with immediate effect.
The Foreign Secretary announced that on a specific request from Pakistan Director General Military Operation to our corresponding operation officer (DGMO), today morning, it was agreed to the stop 3-day long clashes between the two countries.
This presumably brings a stop to Operation Sindoor from Indian side. It is believed that some indirect discussions were going on between India and Pakistan thru’ American Secretary of State, Marco Rubio and social media posts by President Trump indicated the same.
It is understood, Govt. of India has put forth some stringent conditions on Pak supported Terrorism and hardline stance for any such insurgency or acts in future.Foreign Minister S Jaishankar later in a statement on X confirnmed the same. (… more to follow)
