Odisha STF nabs two, seized fake currency notes worth over Rs 15 lakh
Bhubaneswar: The Special Task Force (STF) of Odisha police have apprehended two persons from Sambalpur and seized Fake Indian Currency Notes of over 15 lakhs from their possession.
STF sources here on Wednesday said on the basis of information, the STF with the help of Sambalpur District Police detected a case of illegal business of Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) on Tuesday at Nua Adhapada village under Jujumara Police Station of Sambalpur district.
Police arrested the two accused identified as Podar Prasad Sahu, and Janmajaya Bagh and recovered fake currency notes of Rs 15 lakh, two Laptop, One Color Printer and other incriminating articles were seized from their possession.
A case has been registered at Jujumara Police Station for necessary legal action U/S. 489-A/489-B/489-C/489-D/120(B) IPC. Investigation is on. (UNI)
